Profile: David
Wittenberg, CEO
Known as India’s resident innovation guru, David brings world-class
innovation to leading Indian and multi-national corporations including
Reliance Industries, Tata and Ericsson. The author of The Executive’s
Guide to Innovation, David enables companies to address innovation
challenges worth hundreds of crores – even thousands of crores – using
world-class innovation tools and techniques.
Prior to founding The Innovation Workgroup, David worked at Advanced
Concepts and Technology, one of the world’s leading innovation labs,
at a Fortune 500 corporation. A lifelong innovator, David holds two
patents, has written five books, is a published songwriter, and has
created four business solutions each of which generated more than one
million dollars in revenue.
Earlier in his career, David worked as an independent management
consultant for such firms as American Express, AT&T, Kelly Services,
Philip Morris, Standard & Poor’s and UPS. His successes include
launching a ground-breaking entertainment product that exploited an
innovative distribution channel to achieve record sales, turning
around a consumer services company from the brink of bankruptcy,
developing the most successful continuity marketing program in the
history of a collectibles firm, researching and writing a best-selling
guide to electronic invoicing, creating and promoting a marketing
seminar for small and medium enterprises, and increasing the client
base of a business services firm by 50% in two years.
David earned his MBA in international management with honors from the
Thunderbird School of Global Management, where he served as a research
assistant and co-wrote three business cases. A highly-rated speaker,
he has delivered programs on innovation, marketing, strategy,
entrepreneurship and salesmanship. He teaches innovation and
leadership at Sunstone Business School and previously taught branding,
advertising and introduction to business at FOSTIIMA Business School
and Stratford University. He resides in New Delhi, India.
